Choosing an apprenticeship with Dragon LNG has provided me with invaluable hands-on experience, working alongside skilled operators and industry experts. I am also grateful to have been supported to complete a degree apprenticeship during my time with the company, which has further enhanced my knowledge and skills. This blend of practical experience and academic support has allowed me to progress into my role as Operations Maintenance Coordinator and has set me up for continued growth in the industry.
Josh – Operations Maintenance Coordinator
Our first year is primarily college-based, where focus is on developing the theoretical knowledge and technical skills needed. We have the opportunity to visit the site for hands-on experience and a chance to see how the knowledge we’ve gained in college applies to real-world situations. Balancing the workload between college assignments and preparing for practical site visits is a challenge, but the support from both the college and Dragon LNG helps us to stay on track. Most enjoyable so far is seeing how everything fits together on site, from observing different processes to working alongside experienced professionals who are always willing to share their knowledge.
Evan, Libby, Mason – First Year Apprentices
I am really enjoying the second year of my apprenticeship as every day gives me a mix of learning and hands-on activity whilst developing my interpersonal skills. Being on site four days per week has allowed me to develop within a great team which has helped me to learn on-the job. Continuing my academic studies, one day per week at Pembrokeshire College, gives me the chance to put theoretical learning into practice at work.

During my apprenticeship at Dragon LNG, I’ve gained hands-on experience and developed a wide range of technical skills. Throughout my time here, I’ve been exposed to a variety of real-world challenges and projects in the energy sector.
