Dragon LNG Directors take part in the Darwin Experience
The Dragon LNG Darwin Centre Experience recently hosted the Board of Directors of its main sponsor, Dragon LNG.
The Directors, all employees of Shell and PETRONAS (Dragon LNG’s two shareholders) were visiting from The Netherlands, London and Malaysia. They were joined at Colby Woodland Gardens by Cosheston School where they took part in pond dipping and river sampling.
Marten Lewis, Executive Director of the Darwin Centre Experience, said: “By bringing the Directors on a field trip with us it gives them a real feel for what we are about. It is difficult to put onto paper the impact it can have on the young people of Pembrokeshire. By coming out with us on a fieldtrip the Dragon LNG Directors could experience it for themselves”.
The Dragon LNG Darwin Centre Experience, now in its 11th year, engages young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) – the key subjects for a career in Engineering. The project, which has already won a Business in the Community Award this year, will find out on 17th November if it has been successful in the Sustain Wales Awards where it has been shortlisted for its work within Pembrokeshire.
