Dragon LNG in the community

Dragon LNG is committed to being a productive and proactive member of its community and to bringing economic benefits to Pembrokeshire and its communities for decades to come.

During the construction period and now the terminal is operational, Dragon LNG has been keen to be involved in the community. A support group made up of volunteers from our employees has been instrumental in helping the many local youth teams and organisations that have benefited from Dragon LNG’s support. Many of the staff are involved in fundraising for worthwhile causes and a recent example of their success was highlighted by their raising over eight thousand pounds for the Wales Air Ambulance charity.

As well as helping many local charities and organisations, Dragon LNG focuses its corporate support on youth development and training and is currently focusing its main support on two charitable trusts. The Prince’s Trust supports youngsters in the area to get into work and training and Darwin Science promotes science and technology in education from early years. Both schemes have been have been hailed as exceptional and are likely be used as pilots to develop similar schemes across the country.
