• The world’s reserves of natural gas total more than 6,300 trillion m3 which should last around 65 years at current consumption levels.

• A hundred percent of natural gas requirements in Japan, a leading world economy, are met by using imported LNG.

•These LNG carriers have covered over 80 million miles and in 2005 alone, they covered over 16 million miles.

•The world LNG tanker fleet consisted of 191 vessels as of the end of 2005.

•LNG terminals have been operating in built-up areas across the globe for over 40 years.
