Archaeological sites

As part of the work carried out for the assessment of the currently approved development considerable archaeological fieldwork was performed in the area that will be occupied by the LNG storage tanks and sightscreen. Findings of the survey and details of sites of archaeological interest have been recorded. In respect potential impacts arising from the proposed Terminal expansion, the survey work carried out to date for the currently approved development has been determined as being sufficient to confirm that there will be no significant impacts upon archaeological sites.

Where there is a requirement, for instance to use the land set aside for additional landscaping schemes or habitat creation the area would be subject to further desk study, site walkover survey and, if considered necessary by Cambria Archaeology the area would be subject to further investigative work and recording.
