The most significant air quality impacts will arise due to construction activities of excavation, earthmoving, site haulage and mobile plant. There will be a minor reduction in impact above the currently approved scheme as a result of reduced excavation and reduced mobile plant movements. Effective mitigation is practical and possible, minimised generation of dust will be aimed for, as part of the environmental management plan - impacts will remain at an acceptable level. A significant part of the excavation work has been carried under the current planning permission and negligible impact has occurred as a result of dust emission.
